Many Health Insurance providers offer fitness reimbursement plans to encourage their plan members to focus on their health through regular exercise. Here are a few of the programs that Great Miami Valley YMCA offers:

  • Humana Go365
    • Go365 motivates members to make positive lifestyle changes by tracking simple wellness achievements. Members are able to choose their level of engagement and participate in personalized activities tailored to their specific health needs and interests. When a member reaches a goal, like running a 5K or working out at a fitness center, they get rewarded. Go365 awards its members “Bucks” that can be redeemed for items like gift cards, movie tickets and compatible fitness devices.
  • OptumHealth – United Healthcare Fitness Reimbursement
    • The OptumHealth Fitness Reimbursement Program offers a $20 monthly reimbursement directly to eligible United Healthcare insurance members that visit a participating YMCA 12 or more days within a calendar month. The YMCA will need a copy of your activation letter (you can get it online at www.uhc.com) and a copy of your valid insurance card.
  • OptumHealth – United Healthcare Fitness Advantage
    • This program is geared toward those 65 & older who have a United Healthcare Insurance policy that participates in the Fitness Advantage Program. The member pays no fee to the YMCA (unless there is an upgrade chosen), the Y gets paid per visit up to 10 visits a month.  The YMCA will need a copy of your activation letter to get you started.
  • Silver & Fit/FitnessCoach
    • Silver & Fit and FitnessCoach networks include fitness and exercise centers that offer eligible members a no cost or low cost standard fitness membership. Some insurance providers require an $25 annual fee to participate in the program.
  • ChooseHealthy Affinity Network
    • ChooseHealthy offers a national affinity discount program that provides a value-added service to a medical benefit plan.
  • Military Memberships
  • NFL Former Player Membership Program (NFLPA/Trust)
    • This program provides reimbursement of individual adult memberships for former NFL Players.  They NFLPA/Trust will reimburse the Y for the cost of an individual adult membership, thus offering membership to these former players at no cost. A YMCA membership provides former players an additional resource in the "Lifestyle Pillar,” which The Trust feels is key to a former player’s transition from the NFL.  As part of the partnership, the Trust and the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) will pay Ys a joining fee and one month of membership fees for every former player who signs up. When the former player meets the entry requirement of visiting the Y four separate times within the first 30 days, an additional 11 months of adult membership fees will be paid to the Y. If the incoming former player is an existing Y member, he qualifies for 12 months of membership automatically.  Upgrades to individual plus dependents, family or family plus memberships are allowed.
