YMCA Early Learning Center at the Booker T. Washington Community Center (BTWCC)

The YMCA Early Learning Center, located on site at the Booker T. Washington Community Center, caters to children ages three to five years old whose parents value the importance of early education. At the YMCA, we emphasize five character values: Faith, Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.  We teach these values through day-to-day experiences, activities and lessons.

Our program is designed to meet the developmental needs of young children ages six weeks to five years old.  We provide experiences that enhance and enrich each child’s cognitive, language, social-emotional, physical and creative development. Every class is designed to foster each child’s ability to develop a positive self-concept through a balance of self-directed learning and teacher-assisted instruction.

Certified teachers utilize the Creative Curriculum for preschoolers, which aligns with Ohio State Standards. This curriculum is a forward-thinking, comprehensive and research based curriculum.
